Planning on partying it up to celebrate the beginning of a new decade?

Good news – Los Angeles offers plenty of options for transportation on New Year’s Eve!

The Metro will run on a 24-hour schedule on New Year’s Eve, and all Los Angeles Metro bus and rail lines will be free from 9pm to 2am. On New Year’s Day, the Metro will run on a holiday schedule.

All three of Long Beach’s major transit connectors, including Long Beach Transit, Metro Los Angeles, and the Orange County Transportation Authority, will offer free rides on New Year’s Eve across their transit platforms. Long Beach Transit will offer free rides starting at 5pm on New Year’s Eve, and will also offer late night service on select routes.

Meanwhile, the Orange Country Transportation Authority will provide free rides starting at 6pm on New Year’s Eve to 2:30am.
