The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has officially released its list 2016 nominees complete with 15 finalists.

The list, which includes eight first time nominess, is compiled with artists that have influenced Rock and Roll. Eligibility for the nomination includes artists that have released their first single or album in 1990 or earlier.

Fist time nominess include Chicago, The Cars, Chaka Khan, Janet Jackson and Steve Miller. The Smiths and Nine Inch Nails are also among the nominated, making their 10th appearance on the list. Other nominees include Chic, Cheap Trick, Deep Purple, The J.B.’s, Los Lobos, N.W.A, The Spinners and Yes.

The public will be able to vote for their top five favorite picks which will then be used as a factor into the decision of the inductees.
