Ann Wilson is one of the most powerful singers in rock and roll history. The Heart vocalist joined Matt Pinfield for this episode of “New & Approved” to discuss her past and her latest endeavors.

Wilson recently released her solo album “Another Door,” so she tells Matt about the record’s production process. She also speaks about recording the duet “Don’t Tell Me” with Disturbed’s David Draiman.

It’s no secret that both Ann and her sister Nancy Wilson have always been massive Led Zeppelin fans. Ann talks about performing Zeppelin songs and the Heart performance of “Stairway To Heaven” that led Robert Plant to tears.

Joni Mitchell and John Lennon are also some of Wilson’s greatest influences. However, she tells Matt that Simon & Garfunkel have played an especially prominent role in her inspiration.
