On December 31st 2022, the announcement was made that Queen’s legendary guitarist Brian May would officially become Sir Brian Harold May. Today the ceremony took place to honor May at Buckingham Palace. King Charles III knighted May during the ceremony “for services to music and charity work.”

Sir Mick Jagger, Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, Sir Tom Jones, Sir Richard Starkey (Ringo Starr), Sir Rod Stewart, and Sir Van Morrison are some of the other rockstars who May joins in knighthood.
