Over 150,000 fans showed up to honor late AC/DC singer Bon Scott in Australia on Sunday, March 1.
In the band’s home country, Canning Highway in Perth was closed to traffic for “Highway to Hell,” a celebratory event that occurred on the final day of the 2020 Perth Festival. Multiple AC/DC tribute bands performed on flatbed trucks and trailers that passed by like a parade.
The event invited people to “Join us as we celebrate our city and its connection to Bon Scott, the iconic [frontman] of [the] legendary Aussie rock band, AC/DC. Taking inspiration from the AC/DC song of the same name, we’re paying homage to Highway to Hell!”
