The 2020 Grammy nominations include Tool, Chris Cornell, Tony Iommi, and Rival Sons.

Tool is up for two awards: Best Metal Performance for 7empest and Best Rock Song for “Fear Inoculum.” Meanwhile, Tony Iommi is nominated for his work on Candlemass’ “Astorlus – The Great Octopus” under the Best Metal Performance group. The late Chris Cornell got a posthumous nomination as well for a box set that covers his career in the Best Historical Package category.

Rival Sons also received a nod for Best Rock Performance for “Too Bad.”
