Green Day joked that they have officially landed on Mars.
NASA’s Insight Lander, which landed on Mars yesterday after traveling through space since May 5, appears to bear a chip with the words “Green Day Since 1986,” etched on, which grabbed the rock band’s attention. They sent out the tweet below.
