Today in 1991: Guns N’ Roses and Ozzy Osbourne Release Iconic Albums

September 17th, 1991 was a huge day in rock and roll history.

Right when the clock struck midnight that morning, Guns N’ Roses released two double albums at the same exact time; Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II. By 2AM, a half-million records had already been sold.

The day didn’t stop there for rock fans. Also on September 17th, 1991 heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne released his sixth studio album No More Tears, which became an instant classic for metalheads.
