Jeff “Skunk Baxter,” legendary guitarist of The Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan, and more, joined Matt Pinfield for this episode of New & Approved.

Skunk starts by taking us back to his earliest days in music when he worked at a local music shop and first developed his musical interests. Eventually, he moved to California and began his career as a session musician.

Skunk also discusses how he met Walter Becker and Donald Fegan and how Steely Dan was formed. Since Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers often shared the same bills, Skunk eventually transitioned into the The Doobie Brothers lineup. Matt asks him about some of the best stories he experienced with both bands.
