Stephen Pearcy is doing everything he can to bring back the 1980s, and he’s doing it well. For this episode of New And Approved, the RATT vocalist joins Matt Pinfield to discuss what he’s been up to. Pearcy tells Matt about how he first became interested in music.

During his childhood, Pearcy was set on becoming a racecar driver until an injury changed his plans. An acoustic guitar (that was gifted to him during his recovery), the San Diego music scene, and Van Halen helped Pearcy find his new purpose.

Matt also asks Pearcy about how he met Robbin Crosby and initially formed the band that would eventually be called RATT. After gaining massive success in Los Angeles, we learn about how the band exploded nationally and became a global sensation.

Pearcy is currently embarking upon “The 1980s Sunset Strip Tour,” which brings the 1980s feeling of the famous Sunset Strip to modern audiences of all ages. RATT also just released “The Atlantic Years” Limited Edition Boxset,” which is a must-have.
