The Prince of Darkness has been through a lot the past few years, but always held on to the hopes of performing. This morning, Ozzy Osbourne announced the devastating news for fans throughout the world that he would officially be retiring from touring.

The 74-year-old stated he is “not physically capable” of the grueling world of touring because of his health. In 2019, Ozzy took a hard fall that messed up the metal rods inside his back that were placed there after an ATV accident that occurred in 2003. Despite his perseverance and fight, Ozzy was never able to fully recover.

The news is not only sad for Osbourne’s fans, but also for the Prince of Darkness himself. Osbourne lives for his fans and touring so he admitted, “Never would [he] have imagined that [his] touring days would have ended this way.”

Ozzy did provide a glimmer of hope of at least performing in some capacity. “My team is currently coming up with ideas for where I will be able to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country. “
