Ohio State is at it again with their classic rock tributes! Last year the Ohio State University Marching Band went viral with a video of the ensemble performing a tribute to Rush. This year The Ohio State University Athletic Band, of the same university but without an audition requirement to join, gained recognition by honoring rock band Van Halen last Saturday.

The Ohio State University Athletic Band’s drill took place during halftime of the annual Spring Game between the Ohio State Scarlet team (offense) and the Ohio State Gray team (defense). 60,000 fans gathered at Ohio Stadium in Columba, Ohio to watch the game and to experience the marching band’s takes on Van Halen classics Runnin’ With the Devil, Dreams, Panama, and Jump.

The final score of the game was 34-26 with the Ohio State Scarlet offense team taking the lead over the Ohio State Gray defense.
