Iconic funk singer Betty Davis passed away yesterday at the age of 77. Davis, also the ex-wife of legendary jazz musician Miles Davis, led an extraordinary music career releasing incredible funk records throughout the ’60s and ’70s and putting on wild performances. Betty was a huge influence on Miles and was the one to even introduce him to the mega-stars of the day including Jimi Hendrix.
