Rock ‘n’ roll biopics and large-scale documentaries have been all the rage in recent years where there seems to be a deep sense of nostalgia for bands of the past. The latest work reportedly in the progress is a documentary on the life and career of renowned musician David Bowie.
Brett Morgen, Emmy-winning director who’s most famous project was the 2015 documentary Montage of Heck about Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain, is creating the Bowie film which fill feature videos from thousands of hours of previously unreleased footage that captured the musician’s life.
No official release date has been announced, but the end of January (which will mark the 6th year anniversary of Bowie’s death) seems promising for Morgen according to sources.
