Tom Hanks was the first “A-list” celebrity to reveal that he had contracted COVID-19 while in Australia. He kept us up-to-date on his status on his Instagram throughout his journey to beat the coronavirus. He beat it just like he always overcomes obstacles in his movies, whether he is Sheriff Woody, Captain Phillips, or Jim Lovell on Apollo 13. He once again proved why he continues to be an absolute legend – he donated plasma to help those currently battling COVID-19. Oh, and did we mention he’s also a Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient. Tom, you rock!
