James Taylor reminisced about the times where he would give John Lennon opiates, admitting to being a “bad influence” on the Beatles.
Although he said he wasn’t sure if he had been the first person to supply the drugs to Lennon, Taylor recently talked to The Guardian about being around the Beatles.
“We intersected in the studio a lot,” says Taylor. “They were leaving as I was coming in.” He said they would all hang out and that the band was going through a”slow unraveling, but it was also an extremely creative unravelling.”
I was a bad influence to be around the Beatles at that time too,” he admitted. “Because I gave John opiates.”
