Spotlight On...
Each month, 790 KABC will put the spotlight on a local nonprofit agency that is doing good in our community, including a link from the KABC website to the organization's website. Representatives from each organization will also be invited to appear on Spotlight on the Community.

Join the community in a kick-off rally to fight back against Cancer at Canyon Hills Club in Anaheim Hills Friday April 24th from 6-8pm. Recieve a door prize and learn more about the Relay for Life event in July 2009. |

If you want to get some good exercise and you love the beach, here's a fun project for you on Saturday, January 24th. Start your New Year off right while helping us keep our beach beautiful!! We have our "Monthly Beach Cleanup" from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 1st Street Beach Lot (corner of Ocean & 1st) in Seal Beach. As always, we provide parking passes, garbage bags, protective gloves, hand sanitizers, drinking water (AND certificates if you need one for community service credit). Hope to see you in the sand in Seal Beach on Saturday, January 24th~ |

(5/19/2008 10:39:23 AM) I am Commander of the United States Submarine Veterans, Inc., Los Angeles/Pasadena Base, and would like to invite everyone to attend our Memorial Day ceremony at the entrance to the Seal Beach Weapons Station at 11:00 am on Memorial Day. The "Tolling of the Bells" ceremony takes place,commemorating those who perished on the 52 submaires laost durin WWII, as well as speakers, and is a moving event for all. Admission is free, and ample parking and seating is available. If you could place this into your "Spotlight on the Commuinity", It would be maost appreciated-Thank you. |
